ROUND TABLE ON SELLING OVERSEAS

BUSINESSES from across the West Midlands from sectors including manufacturing, electronics, visitor attractions and aviation took part in a Round Table about selling overseas.

The event held at Birmingham Airport was organised by ‘the Insider’ business magazine and chaired by its editor Kurt Jacobs.

Let’s Sanify was one of the companies invited to take part having recently seen its first export to Qatar leave the country.

Also taking part was Turkish Airlines and our picture shows Adrian Kibbler, who represented Let’s Sanify, at the airline check-in at Birmingham Airport.

The purpose of the Round Table was to share information and experiences.

There was a widely held view that Brexit had put exporters at a disadvantage and damaged the economy resulting in a lot of extra paperwork and additional costs.

It was also stated that whilst the Government ‘talks a good game’ when it comes to the environment and green jobs there was a need for it to put its money where its mouth is and do more.

There was also the depressing view that in many cases there was more interest in innovative products overseas than in the UK.
