Black Country Ambassadors and champions

THE Black Country has a proud history and is very much the home of the Industrial Revolution that marked a turning point in British history.

It started a period in which this country became the workshop of the world and created growth that resulted in the UK being the premier nation in the globe, at least in respect of economic and military power.

It is a prosperity that did not pass down to the workers who toiled in the factories and mines of the Black Country, but it made the area synonymous with innovation, engineering and manufacturing.

Time has moved on and the area has suffered as the UK has passed the baton as a manufacturing powerhouse to countries like the USA, China, Japan, South Korea, Germany and France amongst others.

But great businesses remain in the Black Country including Thomas Dudley, a family business for more than 100 years. Martin Dudley from that company was amongst the guest list of Black Country Ambassadors and Champions to visit the Let’s Sanify factory in Tipton.

Let’s Sanify is one of the businesses now pioneering the Green Revolution in the home of the original industrial revolution.

Hopefully we will be around as long as Thomas Dudley Ltd.
